Plagiarism Policy

Prevention of plagiarism is essential as it provides scientific and academic integrity. Hence, the Journal of Religious Studies strictly follows the Plagiarism Policy as described by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The University of Chitral uses the latest Plagiarism Detection Software for controlling plagiarism concerns. Also, the Journal editors will run plagiarism check for the submitted manuscripts before sending to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarized contents. If a manuscript has over 18% of plagiarism based on the result of Turnitin check, we will send back the manuscript to the author to be revised for the plagiarized contents.

It is basically the author’s duty to only submit an article that is free from plagiarism. The editor, however, checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against offline database developed by the Journal of Religious Studies and, secondly, against all relevant online databases.
