Abstract

No doubt, the Holy Quran is an apparent miracle of the Holy prophet (P.B.U.H) due to its unique way of statement. Those orientalists who believe in revelation are agreeing to the miraculous status of the Holy Quran while they are not agreeing upon the other miracles unanimously. Majority has denied the other miracles of the Holy prophet (P.B.U.H). In this paper, the famous book “Muhammad and his successors” of the prominent American orientalist Washington Irving is analyzed thoroughly. The researcher fined out that the aforementioned author acknowledged just the miracle status of Holy Quran among all miracles of the Holy prophet (P.B.U.H). Thus he denies categorically all other   miracles which have been related to the Holy prophet by Islamic historians and seerat writers.  He disagrees to the physical event of Mi'raj of Holy prophet, despite he considers it a dream. According to him, all this was a dreaming story which the Holy prophet explained later.
