Abstract

Scholars of Hadith, Fiqh and Islamic Jurisprudence have different point of views regarding Hadith-e-Mursal. From its definition to legitimacy, different perspectives have been submitted from early Islamic history to contemporary era about its each segment. Ibn Ḥazm was a kingpin of Ahl-e-Zahir. He was a learned scholar of Hadith, Fiqh and Jurisprudence, all three sciences. He discussed this topic in his scholarly work with all its pros and cons. He had defined the Mursal Hadith and its legal status in Islamic paradigm. This article covers the comparative analysis of the opinions of Ibn Ḥazm and other scholars.
