Therefore they are determined to become good leaders and spend successful life. Various scholars have presented their for the development of personality and success of life. Stephen R. Covey; an American philosopher, has shed lights on principles which are considered the foundation of leadership, career development and successful life. For this purpose he wrote the most popolar book “The 7 habits of highly effective people” which inspired millions of lives. He differentiated between personality ethics & character ethics and proclaimed that both are compliment to each other for success of life. The aim of this paper is to investigate the principles mentioned by S. R.Covey in his book for the development of character ethics and success of life and to judge these characteristics in the light of prophetic teachings and practices. It is concluded that in the teachings of the prophet SAW the principles of leadership, success in both life; here and the Hereafter, are highly integrated and more effective than that of the principles and attributes mentioned by Stephen for successful life. No one can neglect the instructions and teachings taught by Prophet SAW for successful life. We should adopt them to overcome our shortcomings.
