The Methodology and Stylistic Approach of Imam Tahavi in Tafseer “Ahkam ul Quran
Ahkam al Qur’an authored by Abu Jafar Tahavi is considered to be an authentic commentary on the holy Qura’n. Although the book mainly focuses on the chapters related to the divine law, yet, the recognition it received was mostly due to its methodology and unique style. In this paper the researchers have presented a detailed account of the methodology and stylistic approach of the author. Apart providing comprehensive biography of Abu Jafar Tahavi the paper also visualizes the humble and accommodating nature of Abu Jafar Tahavi, who displays great tolerance towards other scholars as far as different of opinions is concerned.
